2011-01-26: Scrum in TeleBilling
We are currently rolling out Scrum to all
projects in TeleBilling. So far, we have successfully finished four
projects using Scrum.
Scrum is an agile and iterative project implementation method.
Projects are delivered in iterations (sprints) which are time-boxes
of typically three weeks, where each sprint delivers a
production-ready increment. Following the sprint planning meeting,
which is the first activity of each sprint, the Scrum team makes a
collective commitment to deliver the functionality they have
planned for. To allow team members to focus on this commitment,
allocation to a project is always 100%. Each sprint ends with a
review meeting where the team demonstrates the functionality
delivered to all customer representatives that have an interest in
the project, and collects feed-back.
For our customers, the main difference is that they will be
involved continuously throughout the project to clarify details and
perform acceptance testing.
